Esta sociedade foi fundada por un grupo de emigrantes naturais da parroquia de San Pedro de Arantei (Salvaterra de Miño, Pontevedra) residentes en Bos Aires.
Entre os seus fundadores pódese citar a Domingo Estévez Núñez, primeiro presidente da entidade, Antonio Núñez Saa, Manuel Peña Troncoso, Antonio Domínguez Sestelo, Diego Núñez Castro, Amadeo Valije Castro, Jose Peña Troncoso e Santos Raimundo Besada, entre outros.
A súa finalidade principal foi claramente cultural e recreativa.
En 1990 apróbase en asemblea xeral a súa unión co "Centro Villamarín Perojano".
